FISHERMEN'S FLEA MARKET

                                 Check out our large, warm indoor location!      This is a freshwater & saltwater event.
Date:  Saturday, March 1, 2014 (rain or shine)
Time:  8:30 am to 2:00 pm
Location:  Millville Elks Lodge, 1815 E.Broad Street, Millville, NJ.
Directions:  The Millville Elks Lodge is located on Broad Street (aka Mays Landing Road) next to the Rt 55 overpass.

Parking:  Plenty of free parking.
Admission Donation:  $2.00  (kids under 14 free)
Vendor Table rentals:  $20.00 each.  ($5.00 discount for 3rd, 4th tables, etc.)
We also have a "Boats for Sale Area" just outside the building.  Indoor vendors will be permited to park a used boat for sale in the designated area for $5.00 and non-vendors may display a boat for $10.00.  Boats should either be attended or have a sign with the pertinent details.

     Raffles (2) of fully stocked tackle boxes - one freshwater and one saltwater. Both raffles will include a free subscription to "On The Water" fishing                            magazine.  You do not need to be present to win.

2013 Event Summary

Almost 400 paying adults showed up (not counting kids under 14 who got in for free).  Seminar speaker was Eric "Woody" Woodward.  Tackle box raffle winners were:  Mitch Smith (freshwater) and Lenny Wagner (saltwater).  Weather was sunny and cold with a steady wind.

2009 Event Summary

The 2009 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was our second at the Millville Elks Lodge.  Warm, sunny weather threatened to cut down our attendance figures, with some fishermen probably preferring to fish instead, but we still had almost 350 adults show up (not counting kids under 14).   We had almost 50 vendor tables for customers to peruse.  Quite a few kids participated in our kids casting activity.  The winners of our raffles for fully stocked tackle boxes were:  Kelly Vasquez (freshwater tackle box) and Glenn Braun (saltwater tacklebox).  If anyone has feedback on things we did especially well or could have done better this year, please pass that feedback along.  We want to try to improve this event each year.

2008 Event Summary

The 2008 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was our first at the Millville Elks Lodge.  Cold, blustery weather helped our attendance figures, but kept more than a few youngsters from venturing outside to our kids casting acvitity.   We had over 50 vendor tables and almost 300 paying customers (not counting kids under 14).  The winners of our raffles for fully stocked tackle boxes were:  Chris Brower (freshwater tackle box) and George Bennett (saltwater tacklebox).  After holding this initial event at this location, we found that we'll be able to fit even more vendor tables for next year's event.  If anyone has feedback on things we did especially well or could have done better this year, please pass that feedback along.  We want to try to improve this event each year.

2007 Event Summary
The 2007 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was a mild success.  Excellent weather allowed many fishermen to pursue their favorite pasttime (fishing) instead of their second favorite pasttime (buying fishing tackle).   We still had almost 60 vendor tables and over 200 paying customers (not counting kids under 14).  If anyone has feedback on things we did especially well or could have done better, please pass that feedback along.  We want to try to improve this event each year.

2006 Event Summary
The 2006 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was another success.  Although we did not get an ideal date for the event (due to a lack of availablity of the venue on our preferred dates), we still had over 60 vendor tables and over 250 paying customers (not counting kids under 14).

2005 Event Summary
The 2005 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was our best ever.  We had over 60 tables and 500 paying customers, not counting kids under 14.  Despite chilly weather, 16 kids participated in our kids' casting event and all won prizes.  Once again, the Vineland Moose Lodge served as an excellent location.

The winner of our "fully stocked tackle box" raffle was Albert Franchetta Sr.

2004 Event Summary
The 2004 South Jersey Bass Club Association "Fishermen's Flea Market" was a definite success.  We had approximately 35 vendors (almost 60 tables) and 350 paying customers, not counting kids under 14.  About 25 kids participated in our kids' casting event and all won prizes.  The new location at the Vineland Moose Lodge worked out real well.
